Meet The Founder

Jolanda Jackson is the Founder and Executive Director of Karing For A Cause Inc. (KFAC). She has a deep-rooted passion to help bridge the gap of access for those in underserved and underrepresented communities.  She is a graduate of The Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and Services. She has 14 years of experience in the social service field having served more than 2,000 youth and adults in underserved communities to include Child protection Investigation, child and adult case management along with experience with youth enrichment and education programs and implementation. Her most notable experience that truly sets the foundation of KFAC is her 15-year journey with Lupus. Knowing first-hand the unexpectancies that come along with having Lupus (a chronic illness), coupled with daily activities and the responsibilities of life, she can genuinely resonate with every aspect from pre-diagnosis to diagnosis, disease treatment/management and most importantly life integration. Living with a chronic illness takes a negative toll on every aspect of a person’s life to include mental, physical, social, emotional as well as financial impacts. Her ultimate goal is to spread disease awareness within the community and help those served, identify and create healthy habits by increasing chronic disease education, health and financial knowledge, access to community resources along with access to adequate nutrition within the community which is extremely important in aiding in early detection, disease management and self-preservation. No one truly knows the journey like those who have traveled the road.

“We do what we do BECAUSE KFAC CARES!!”
